“I first went to see Maureen for chronic hormonal migraines that were impacting my work and quality of life. I found out I was pregnant a few months after first receiving treatments from Maureen, and continued to see her throughout what ended up being a very difficult pregnancy. I have different challenges in each trimester (extreme nausea/fatigue, migraines, and gestational diabetes), and Maureen was absolutely incredible and supportive through it all. She listened and tailored a treatment plan to address my needs, and went above and beyond every step of the way (providing me with information on acupressure points for labor and specific foods to eat for diabetes, sharing helpful tidbits from her own pregnancy/labor/post partum experience, as well as her daughter’s, etc.). When I found out my providers wanted to induce me at the very end of my pregnancy, Maureen immediately got me in for several emergency sessions and was able to successfully induce labor through acupuncture 72 hours before my scheduled medical induction! Maureen also provided much needed kindness and emotional support during COVID times that made a huge difference for my mental health and well being as I struggled through a difficult pregnancy while working full time and remaining largely socially isolated due to COVID. I will be forever grateful for the care I received from Maureen!” -P.M.
